DAY BY DAY JOURNEY
Day 1: Arrive Dubai
Welcome to the United Arab Emirates!! You will be met, greeted and upon exiting, you will be assisted to your vehicle for the transfer to your hotel. Check in at the Grand Hyatt Dubai for a nine-night stay. Set in contemporary curve-shaped buildings, this sprawling luxury hotel is 10 km from both the Burj Khalifa skyscraper and The Dubai Mall. Featuring floor-to-ceiling windows with skyline views, the high-end rooms offer Arabic accents, marble bathrooms and luxe linens, plus flat-screens, minibars and free Wi-Fi. Room service is provided. Amenities include 2 cafes, 2 bars and 8 refined restaurants, including Italian and Asian eateries. There’s a swanky lounge with regular live entertainment, plus a spa area with a gym, tennis courts, and indoor and outdoor pools. Day 2: Dubai City Tour
After breakfast at the hotel, depart for your Dubai city tour. Join our local experts at Bastakiya, one of the oldest neighborhoods of Dubai, and learn about the 19th-century life in the city from the Dubai Museum and the legendary Al Fahidi Historical District. Board the abra, a traditional water taxi that will ferry you across the Dubai Creek toward the gold and spice souks where you are free to shop the Arabian way. You will also be stopping by the city’s most photographed mosque, the Jumeirah Mosque. Next, have a taste of the rich local cuisine at the Sheikh Mohammed Centre for Cultural Understanding.
This morning you experienced the more traditional side of Dubai. This afternoon explore the world class, contemporary lifestyle in Dubai as you go on an unforgettable tour of a modern city that is way ahead of its time. View the city from the deck of the world’s tallest building, the Burj Khalifa and enjoy dinner at Atmosphere the tallest restaurant in the world!! (B,L,D)
Day 3: Sharjah City Tour
After breakfast at the hotel depart for your Sharjah City Tour. Historically, Sharjah was one of the wealthiest towns in the region. It was the most important port on the lower Arabian Gulf from the time of the early trading with the East into the first half of the 19th century. Alongside fishing and trading, the lion’s share of the city’s wealth rested on its pearling industry, which lasted into the late 1940’s. The first international airport on this coast was also established in Sharjah in 1932, predating the formation of the Federation of the UAE by nearly four decades.
- Visit the Museum of Islamic Civilization which started its life as a traditional Middle Eastern souk or indoor market. The building now houses more than 5,000 exquisite artifacts from all over the Islamic world and hosts regular exhibitions and internationally renowned displays of Islamic masterpieces.
- Al Naboodah House-restored pearl merchant’s house and museum.
- The Central Blue Souq-open since 1979, it is the most famous souq in Sharjah. Discover an extraordinary collection of handicrafts, brilliant in color and magnetic in appeal. Dive into a maze of more than 600 exciting and intriguing shops and uncover unusual treasures and traditional gift items, handmade goods and regional imports.
- King Faisal Mosque-the first mosque in Sharjah to open its doors to the non-Muslim community and visitors to Sharjah so that they can learn about Islam and the United Arab Emirates culture.
Enjoy lunch at Zahr El-Laymoun and this evening when you return to Dubai you will sail under the moon lit sky on a Dhow Dinner Cruise in the Marina. (B,L,D)
Day 4: Dubai-La Mer Beach and Camel Races
Start with a relaxed visit to one of the most popular beaches in UAE-La Mer Beach. Dubai – a city that’s home to over 150 nationalities – features cuisines from every corner of the globe. La Mer Beach brings these incredible taste offerings together to create a real foodie’s paradise. From French delicacies to gourmet Mediterranean, authentic Indian to urban Japanese dishes, La Mer will spoil you with all the choices!
Continue the day with an unique visit to the camel race club. Camel racing is an integral part of the khaleeji culture and there has been a significant increase in the number of tourists to the races. The Heritage Village was set up for visitors to explore the Emirati way of life through handicrafts, cuisine, mock weddings and music. Around a hundred small shops and kiosks are being organized to recreate a carnival like setting in addition to traditional dance shows from Oman, India and Africa. (B,L,D)
Day 5: Dubai-Relax at the Pool
Morning at leisure–enjoy some relaxation at the pool. Lunch is at Burj Al Arab, the most luxurious hotel in the world! Return to the hotel after lunch.
This evening attend a performance of La Perle with dinner. Featuring a breathtaking fusion of immersive artistic performances, imagery and technology, La Perle is influenced by Dubai’s rich culture, vibrant present and aspirational future, which is brought to life by awe-inspiring stunts and special effects that will leave viewers speechless. La Perle by Dragone is the region’s first permanent show, located in the heart of Dubai at Al Habtoor City and brought to Dubai by Al Habtoor Group. (B,L,D)
Day 6: Dubai-Sea & Sand Day
Start your day with breathtaking views of Dubai’s landscape. Board an amazing RIB Boat and see the most iconic landmarks from a unique view. Stop for some quick sightseeing in Dubai Marina. Choose from many different places to have your lunch.
You have never really been to the Middle East until you’ve done the signature Desert Safari. Nothing beats a firsthand experience of coasting through the sand dunes of Arabia. This afternoon a luxury 4×4 vehicle will pick you up from the hotel and take you straight to the desert. Brace yourself for an hour-long exhilarating dune-bashing experience! Step out of the vehicle and soak in the grandeur of the golden desert sunset. Test your balance and try sandboarding–sliding down a slope of sand can really be fun!! Next–take the opportunity to ride a camel. This evening, feast on a sumptuous BBQ dinner buffet at an authentic Bedouin camp where you will be treated to live cultural entertainment. Drop by the henna tattoo painting booth and get inked with a traditional Arabic design. (B,D)
Day 7: Dubai (Optional Balloon Ride)
Take off on a majestic 40-minute balloon ride over the UAE desert with experienced/European pilots. Welcome tea/coffee at meeting point in Sky Dive Margham desert is provided. After your balloon ride, enjoy breakfast at Skydive Desert Campus and receive your Flying certificate signed by the Pilot. Chance to see desert wildlife, peacocks and sky divers landing at Sky Dive while you enjoy a Falcon experience.
Later today you will be able to see the magnificent Dubai Frame and Glow park which lights the city at night. Together with the brand-new Night Market you’ll be able to find your perfect souvenir from this trip.For dinner enjoy a fabulous meal at the 360 View Al Dawaar Revolving Restaurant. (B,D)
Day 8: Dubai-Day at Leisure
Free day to explore Dubai independently. You may wish to return to the Gold Souk to make that purchase you’ve been thinking about all week….Or perhaps you may wish to visit the Dubai Mall. Located in the heart of prestigious Downtown Dubai, The Dubai Mall, is the world’s largest and most-visited retail and entertainment destination, which welcomes more than 80 million visitors annually. The Dubai Mall has over 1,300 retail outlets including two anchor department stores – Galeries Lafayette and Bloomingdale’s – and over 200 food and beverage outlets. (B)
Day 9: Dubai Expo
The Expo site, which will cover a total of 438 hectares, is located in the Dubai South district, near the Al Maktoum International Airport. Expo 2020 Dubai is being organized under the theme ‘Connecting Minds, Creating the Future’, with this being expressed into three sub-themes: Mobility, Sustainability, and Opportunity.
Later tonight you will have an amazing dinner experience at Le Petit Chef. A mini chef tells his story through animation on your plate, book and table. You travel with the chef in search of ingredients from different lands and taste different cuisines. The experience touches all your senses and is a great concept. If you are a food lover then this is a must for you. (B,D)
Day 10: Dubai Expo-transfer to Abu Dhabi
After breakfast at the hotel, depart for your second day at EXPO 2020. In the late afternoon transfer to The Grand Hyatt Hotel in Abu Dhabi where you will check in for a three-night stay. Set on the waterfront, this upscale, modern hotel offers polished rooms with free Wi-Fi, flat-screen TVs, balconies with city views, as well as minibars, tea and coffee-making facilities and en suite bathrooms. Other amenities include a casual Italian restaurant, a laid-back bar with a terrace, an infinity pool, plus a 24-hour gym.
This evening dinner is at the KOI Japanese restaurant. They take inspiration from traditional Japanese preparations and then each dish is deconstructed and infused with modern California accents. Modern palates will truly be inspired by KOI’s Japanese cuisine fusion and traditional dishes. These creations, along with their innovative signature cocktails, are coupled with an atmosphere that evokes intrigue and serenity, transporting guests to an unforgettable experience. (B,D)
Day 11: Abu Dhabi City Tour
After breakfast, depart for your Abu Dhabi City tour. Explore the majesty of the world-famous Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque then sneak a peek into the relaxed modern city life in the capital as you are driven along the Corniche. Marvel at the opulent Emirates Palace and grab the chance to have your photo taken in front of its royal façade. Next will be the Heritage Village, a reconstruction of a traditional oasis village that features the desert way of life. Visit the Louvre and the Guggenheim and then enjoy lunch at the St. Regis Sadyatt Island.
Finally, you’ll be heading for your last stop, the Yas Mall of Yas Island. The island is home to popular attractions like the Ferrari World, so you can certainly take some snaps right outside the iconic theme park.
Later, savor dinner at one of the most iconic constructions in Abu Dhabi. Andas Capital gate has amazing views of the city which will enhance your dinner experience. Simple flavors of locally sourced ingredients melded with Mediterranean cuisine await; it is recognized as one of the favorite restaurants in Abu Dhabi. (B,L,D)
Day 12: Abu Dhabi-Falcons, Art and Yachts!
After breakfast, depart hotel for the Falcon Hospital. Annually, around 11,000 falcons are received for examinations and treatment. Since its inception, the Abu Dhabi Falcon Hospital has emerged as one of the most reputed falcon hospitals in the Gulf region, the largest falcon hospital in the world and as a leading center for falcon medicine world-wide. Over the years, the ADFH has established a loyal and a wide patient-base not just in the UAE, but also in countries like Saudi Arabia, Kuwait and Bahrain. From being established as a purely veterinary facility, the ADFH has expanded in the fields of education and awareness, training and research. Due to the huge demand for providing their experience to other avian species, they have opened the falcon hospital to become a fully-fledged specialized avian hospital for all kinds of birds and poultry species in 2006. After lunch at the hotel, visit an Islamic art gallery and then later this evening you will have an amazing and unique dinner on board a yacht!! (B,L,D)
Day 13: Abu Dhabi-Al Ain-Departure
After breakfast at the hotel depart Abu Dhabi for Al Ain. A UNESCO World Heritage site, Al Ain City is a treasure trove of the country’s history. From its picturesque forts to the home of the beloved founding father Sheikh Zayed Al Nahyan. Walk through this “Garden City” and learn how the UAE came to be. See traces of ancient civilization at Hili Gardens where you will find archaeological artifacts dating back more than 5,000 years. Be the royal family’s guest at Al Ain Palace Museum, an old fortress that used to be the home of the late ruler Sheikh Zayed Al Nahyan. Soak in the tranquility of an oasis lined with date palms and have a handful of dates picked especially for you. Dig deeper into the country’s traditions at the Al Ain National Museum.
After lunch at a local restaurant you will return to Dubai. Before departure have an amazing dinner at Pierchic restaurants one of the most popular restaurants in Dubai. Drop off at DXB airport for your return flight home. (B,L,D)
